Director Mark Williams is a former Manly Cabs taxi driver, and up until May 2008 ran a water taxi business on Sydney Harbour. He came up with the idea a couple of years ago, while working his late night taxi shifts. “It’s unbelievable how badly numbered the streets out there are. It’s a nightmare for essential services such as ambulance, fire and police, not to mention taxi drivers and couriers!”

In 2006 Mark approached his friend Ole Hansen, who runs an innovative design business called Smart Products. Together they set about sourcing and designing a range of colourful day / night numbers that would reflect ambient light up to 150 metres.

After 18 months of going through the tooling, testing and manufacturing process, they came up with a durable, attractive and very reflective product which they nicknamed "Flash Back Numbers".

The Numbers are light weight and sturdy, and will withstand just about any weather conditions. With a strong adhesive backing, they will adhere to any smooth surface and, like the old adage says, they "stick like Tarzan's grip!" so make sure you put them on straight!

Most importantly, Flash Back Numbers are highly reflective. Any ambient light makes them literally light up and stand out in the dark, making them perfect for house, boat and cars.
